Switching to 8PWD
Every import follows the same shape: export from the old tool, hand the file to 8PWD, check the preview, then delete the export file. The guides below give the exact menu path for each source. All of them work on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What every import has in common
- Start from Me › Backup & migration › Import in 8PWD, or share the file to 8PWD from Files (on Mac, drop it onto the window). The app recognises the format; if it cannot, pick the template by name.
- A preview with counts appears before anything is written. Entries identical to ones you already have are skipped, so importing the same file twice does not double your vault.
- On the free plan the import stops once you hold 10 records; the result screen tells you how many were left out. 8PWD 2026 Pro lifts the limit.
- Delete the export file afterwards. Most tools export plain CSV — every password readable by anyone who opens it. Empty the trash or Recently Deleted too.
- Two-factor secrets are only carried by formats that contain them (1Password, Bitwarden, KeePass, Enpass, Proton Pass, and Google Authenticator's own transfer). From the others, re-scan the QR codes in 8PWD's 2FA tab.
