Switching to 8PWD

Generic CSV mapping or a template you make

Steps

    Export a .csv from the old tool with at least a name, a username and a password column.

  2. 2

    Import it in 8PWD. If no built-in template matches, the app shows the columns it found and lets you map each one; the mapping can be saved as a template for next time.

  3. 3

    For text that is not a proper file — a note, an email — use Paste text: the app splits lines into entries and shows the result before saving.

What ends up where

Whatever you map: name, username, password, URL, notes, folder, plus any extra columns as custom fields.

After the import

Check a few entries, turn on AutoFill for 8PWD, and delete the export file from wherever you saved it — it is plain text.
